 So what is International Coffee Day?

International Coffee Day marks the long history of coffee, from a drink popularised around the 15th century to today.  It is a day to appreciate the drink, the many different styles of coffee, the people who prepare these drinks for us and right down to the coffee bean itself.

The Coffee

Both coffee machines can make a range of coffees from bean to cup, even from the comfort of your own sofa with the Bosch Home Connect! Brush up on your coffee knowledge by looking at the different coffees both machines can offer:

The classic: small, strong, with a hazel-coloured crema. Simply one shot of espresso in an espresso cup.

Espresso with some milk froth; Italian for “stained espresso”. One shot of espresso


A large cup of coffee brewed using 1 shot of espresso as the base.


One third of espresso with warm milk and milk froth.


Coffee with three layers, served in a glad: warm milk at the bottom, espresso in the middle and milk froth on top.


Often referred to as “latte” this coffee is a blend of espresso and steamed milk.
